Do you know your Credit Limit on your Charge Account?  Upcoming software changes will impact cardlock purchases.  Please ensure your current credit limit aligns with your spending behaviors.  Contact your local Southland Co-op Credit Department for more information on how to submit a credit limit increase or click the link below to apply.

Q: Will I, the customer, notice anything different?
A: Yes. If your credit limit is exceeded, the pump will not activate or it may stop partway through fueling.

Q: Will my current cardlock cards still work?
A: Yes, provided your account is in good standing and you have sufficient credit available.

Q: Can I still fuel if I am close to my limit?
A: Fueling will continue only until the credit limit is reached. The system will stop the transaction as soon as the limit is hit.

Q: Will I get a warning before my fuel stops?
A: No. The system reacts instantly when the limit is reached. Card reader message displayed as “Account Over Limit”

Q: Is it only the Cardlock card that affects the available credit limit?
A: No. The credit limit applies to all transactions made using your Southland Co op Cardlock card and at any of our Southland Co op locations. All purchases draw from the same available credit limit.
However, only the Cardlock card will be immediately restricted when the credit limit is reached. In store purchases will not be cut off mid transaction, but they still count toward the overall limit.

Q: If a I pay down the balance, how quickly can I fuel again?
A: Usually 1 business day
